V.R.Devika was the facilitator in the outreach programme of Hindustani classical music on the flute by Nityanand Haldipur with omkarnath Gulvady on the Tabla at Bala Vidya Mandir School and Inidan Institute of Technology, Madras. This was organised by Prakriti Foundation after its Gharana Indian Music festival in association with SPIC MACAY (Society for promotion of Indian Culture, Music and Art among youth).

Aseema facilitated the public programming of dance based on South India Girl Child Initiative project sessions with Gayathri Balagurunathan Choreographing a dance in Bharathanatyam style by Teacher trainees and Chandra choreographing a dance on importance of health, hygiene and education.

January 28 - February 5, 2008,
The Aseema trust members facilitated the Story telling, spinning sessions and the Sand Sculpture contest of The Tree of Life festival 2008 of Prakriti Foundation. V.R.Devika did spinning sessions in several schools and Vasantha Parthasharathy managed the liaison with schools and the conduct of the Sand Sculpture Contest assisted by Ashwini Kasi.

January 24, 2008-
Talk on"Communication Skills and Creativity" by Ms.V.R.Devika at the Seminar "the Role of a Teacher in Creating Successful Leaders" in R.K.Swamy Auditorium for The Akshaya Vidya Trust.

January 4, 2008-
The Aseema Trust presented a public performance of a dance "Engal Vaazhkai" and a kolattam produced under the "South India Girlchild initiative" project by the girls of Navbharath matriculation school at The Mylapore Festival, a heritage festival organised by the community newspaper Mylapore Times and Sundaram Finance.
